Hunters Moon Festival - 28th, 29th & 30th October 2011

Hunters Moon Music and Art Festival will take place on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of October in the Northwest of Ireland in Carrick on Shannon, County Leitrim.

The festival will feature music in three locations in the town. Daytime performances will happen in St. Georges Church. Evening performances will take place at the Dock Arts Centre. Night time events will take place at a local music venue.

There will be an art trail through the town as part of the festival as well short films and art on display in St. Anne’s Hall throughout the weekend. Featured artists include Glyn Scrawled, Karen Constance, Helen Skullduggery with more to be announced shortly. There will also be a special exhibition of paintings by Tim Kerr in the Jury Room of the Dock Arts Center as part of the festival.

The festival box office will be located in St. Mary’s Hall. The Hall will also house a merchandise area with art, records and custom made effects pedals for sale.

Weekend Tickets for all shows and all venues are available for 55 euro.
Independents' Day - 7th November 2010

Independents' Day is an annual event, now in its third year, bringing together independent record labels, zines, comics, artists, writers and musicians to showcase Do-It-Yourself (DIY) culture. Along with stalls where producers will be selling their wares, there will be an exhibition of independently spirited artists and photographers; screenings and a presentation by Dublin Community Television (DCTV), a workshop in stop motion animation and screenings of short films. During the day performances taking place include: trad-folk punkers Lynched, electro-acoustic songstress Niamh de Barra, hairy trad by Moses Moorhous and to close down proceedings grungy rock n'rollers Sea Dog! Independents' Day is a non-profit event its' sole aim to showcase independent/ D.I.Y. culture in the current day. There is a modest entrance fee of �? towards expenses.
